Ava G Knits
Ava started her business with an old crochet hook, and odd ball of wool, a passion, and a dream. She began to put her bright and bold personality into her crochet, bringing to life pieces that she could wear and enjoy. Ava G Knits started during the height of COVID-19, which gave Ava the perfect opportunity to teach herself all about crochet, knitwear and entrepreneurship.
"I threw myself into zoom calls and online courses to learn as much as I could, which, of course, went alongside my studies and helped me develop my coursework even further."
Since COVID-19, Ava's collection of clothing and accessories have flourished and given people the chance to express themselves, embrace their youthful side whilst being fun, frivolous and looking fabulous!
Ava is dedicated to her craft and is incredibly proud of being an independent, female led brand.
"I believe having a female-owned small businesses where I hand craft each product myself is something special and I hope to share my work with as many people as possible. I also want to show others that starting your dreams doesn’t have to begin after university or with a large amount of money, you just need to have a passion and the drive to put yourself out there!"

Emma Atherton - Erosa Studios
“We believe in designing for the future of our bodies and our planet.”
Emma Rose Atherton is a fashion design graduate with experience in costume, millinery, occasionwear and high street retail. The idea behind EROSA began during her MA in 2020 when she started exploring the relationship between her body and the fashion industry, leading her to scrap the entire sizing system and start again.
"I didn’t launch the brand properly until after completing ‘The Modern Artisan’, a collaborative project between YOOX NET-A-PORTER and The Princes Foundation focusing on sustainable luxury fashion. It was during this time I fully understood the relationship between my adaptable approach to size and sustainable fashion, thus EROSA as a brand was born."
EROSA is a UK luxury womenswear brand based in the North West. Designed to celebrate the beauty of the human body and empower. Erosa's innovative sizing system removes numbers and restrictive labels, replacing it with a simple colour-coded system that takes into account the diversity in body shapes.

Isabelle Pennington-Edmead
At Isabelle Pennington-Edmead, all orders are made on demand to prevent fabric wastage and making garments inclusive to all sizes.
"The brand conceptually relates back to myself and how I envisage my own identity. I have realised that my creations and work are a way for me to explore and discover myself and identity, it is an on-going process which will always be evolving."
The designs show a celebration of Isabelle's mixed heritage being both Caribbean Kittitian and English, with her agricultural rural roots. The brand takes inspiration from her childhood memories with femininity at the core." I draw my inspiration from multiple sources and specialise in printed fashion."
